LIPSFace™ AC770 3D facial recognition terminal released by LIPS wins iF Design Award 2020

March 3, 2020 (Taipei, Taiwan) – LIPS® Corporation, a leading global provider of industrial 3D vision and edge AI solutions, announced last year’s iF with the newly introduced LIPSFace™ AC770 facial recognition terminal 3D AI. Received a design award.

LIPSFace™ AC770 boasts a versatile flip design concept that allows seamless conversion (desktop, wall mount, stand, entry/exit gate) in one piece. It also delivers an instant, contactless authentication experience of 0.3 seconds for high-security facilities such as offices, hospitals, commercial facilities, R&D labs, private apartments, offices, hotels, VIP lounges, and financial institutions.

The performance of LIPSFace™ AC770 face recognition equipped with LIPSFace™ AI engine is world-class with an accuracy of 98.89% for MegaFace and 99.83% for LWF. Additionally, LIPS®’s proprietary 3D AI Liveness Detection technology is a leapfrog from traditional 2D technology; it is no longer possible to spoof this 3D-based system by applying a high-resolution 2D photo or 3D mask during authentication. This is no longer possible. LIPS® Ageless Authentication technology then continuously learns about your facial appearance as it changes over time.

LIPSFace AC770 Design Award 2020

A single LIPSFace™ AC770 unit can store and process up to 20,000 user profiles on the edge. Additionally, for deployment, multiple AC770 terminals can be connected to a central management software (CMS) to store an unlimited number of user profiles. The central management software also provides easy integration with other user applications and private via RESTful API.
